5 Fun Ways to Use Halloween Stickers This Spooky Season
There's something about Halloween stickers that makes me smile every single year. Little ghosts, grinning pumpkins, bats, black cats, cosy fall leaves... they're spooky, they're cute, and they turn the most ordinary things into something fun.
But if your Halloween stickers are sitting in a drawer waiting for the "perfect" project, this post is for you! Here are five of my favorite ways to use Halloween stickers, from planner spreads to treat bags, happy mail, and even my cutting machine.
🎃 At a glance: 5 fun ways to use Halloween stickers
- Organize and decorate your planner
- Dress up Halloween party and treat bags
- Decorate envelopes and seal your happy mail
- Give your cutting machine a spooky makeover
- Personalize your laptop or computer
- And more!
1. Organize and decorate your planner

This is where it all started for me, and it's still my favorite way to use stickers. A Halloween sticker kit in my Erin Condren Vertical LifePlanner instantly makes my week feel more exciting (and a lot less like a to-do list!).
Halloween planner stickers can be pretty and useful. Here's how I like to use them:
- Headers and date covers to set the theme for the week
- Checklists and boxes for costume prep, pumpkin carving, and party shopping
- Little icons like ghosts or pumpkins to mark trick-or-treat night, school parades, or a spooky movie night
- Decorative stickers to fill the gaps and make the spread feel finished
Mim's tip: Mix in a few fall stickers (leaves, mushrooms, cosy mugs) so your spread carries nicely from late September all the way through to the end of October.
2. Dress up Halloween party and treat bags

Plain paper bags are cheap and easy to find, and one sticker turns them into the cutest Halloween treat bags. They're perfect for trick-or-treaters, class parties, party favors, or a little "boo basket" for a friend.
- Stick one big sticker on the front for a simple, clean look
- Fold the top over and seal it with a sticker so the treats stay inside
- Add a name sticker or label so every child knows which bag is theirs
- Pop a few loose stickers inside as a little extra treat (kids love this!)
Mim's tip: Set up a little assembly line. Fill all the bags first, then fold, then stick. It's surprisingly relaxing, and it goes so much faster.
3. Decorate envelopes and seal your happy mail

Who says a boring brown envelope has to stay boring? A couple of Halloween stickers turn it into happy mail that someone will be thrilled to find in their mailbox.
- Use a round or square sticker as an envelope seal over the flap on the back
- Decorate the front with a sticker or two in the corner
- Use it for party invitations, Halloween cards, pen pal letters, or thank-you notes
- Add matching stickers to the card inside so it all feels like a set
Mim's tip: If you're posting your envelope, press the flap down firmly first so your sticker seal is the finishing touch, not the only thing holding it closed. And leave plenty of space for the address and stamp!

My Cricut Joy Xtra works hard making stickers all year, so it deserves to join in the fun too! A few fall and Halloween stickers make my craft space feel so cosy, and it makes me smile every time I sit down to make something.
- Decorate the lid or the sides where your hands won't rub them off
- Keep stickers away from buttons, vents, moving parts, and the feed slot so your machine keeps working perfectly
- Choose a theme, like pumpkins and leaves, or cute ghosts and bats
- Swap them out each season so your machine always matches the time of year
Mim's tip: This is also a fun way to test a new sticker paper or a design you've made. You get to see how it looks, how it peels, and how it holds up over a few weeks.
5. Personalize your laptop or computer

Halloween doesn't have to be all dark and creepy! I love a girly fall and Halloween mix, with soft pinks, cute pumpkins, and sweet little ghosts, to brighten up my computer while I work.
- Pick a color palette (pinks and oranges, or creams and blacks) so it looks pulled together
- Group stickers in one corner or spread them out for a playful look
- Mix sizes, with one or two bigger stickers and lots of little ones around them
- Keep vents, ports, the screen, and the keyboard clear
Mim's tip: Paper stickers are perfect for a seasonal look because you can peel them off and swap them for winter stickers later. If you want them to last longer, add a clear laminate overlay or print them on printable vinyl.
More quick ideas for Halloween stickers
Still have stickers left over? Try these:
- Decorate a journal or junk journal page
- Make gift tags for Halloween treats
- Seal small boxes or gift wrap
- Brighten up water bottles, notebooks, or phone cases (laminated stickers work best here)
- Use them as rewards on a kids' chore chart for the month of October
Tips to make your Halloween stickers look their best
- Clean the surface first. Dust and fingerprints stop stickers from sticking well.
- Peel slowly from one corner. It helps your stickers keep their shape.
- Press firmly from the middle out. It pushes out air bubbles.
- Choose matte paper if you'll write on them. It's much easier to write on than glossy paper, especially for planner stickers.
- Choose laminated or vinyl stickers for things you'll handle a lot. Think laptops, bottles, and phone cases.
